Supplier-Customer Relationship Philosophy
• Long-Term Relationships
Triad Packaging is dedicated to creating the most value possible to our customers, year-after-year. As such, we strive to create and maintain long-term relationships with our customers and our suppliers. It is our goal to understand the long-term objectives of our customer and be a major contributor to their success.
• Total Cost of Ownership Approach
Our approach to achieving cost savings for our customers is based on the Total Cost of Ownership model (TCO). This comprehensive approach takes into account costs above and beyond the piece cost of the packaging. We evaluate the customer’s total costs of acquiring, using, maintaining, changing and disposing of packaging materials. Our efforts focus on reducing total costs and ultimately adding dollars to our customer’s bottom line.
• Custom solutions
We pioneer packaging designs to provide unique and cost-effective solutions. We have graphic design and other specialty capabilities to meet individual customer needs. We manufacture all sizes of packaging, shipping containers and point-of-purchase displays.
• Value-Added Approach
While reducing costs is important, it is equally important to help our customers increase their revenue. By understanding the market drivers in our customers industry and our customer’s customer, we strive to bring revenue generating solutions to our customers.
• Lean Manufacturing Principals
Triad Packaging embraces lean manufacturing principals internally in our operations and externally with our suppliers and customers. We believe, through joint efforts, that an entire supply-chain based on lean principals ensures success for all parties in a global market.
• Ethical Business Practices
It is our philosophy to engage in business activities with integrity, honesty and in good faith. Developing and earning a high level of trust takes time. Once this level of trust is established, an ideal environment exists that allows the synergies of our organizations to thrive and our objectives to be met. Adversarial relationships and relationships not based on mutual trust, is detrimental to long-term success.
• Reverse Auctions
It is our policy to not participate in online reverse auctions. We recognize that reverse auctions may be appropriate for certain commodity products. The products, services and solutions we offer, combined with the philosophy with which we operate, is inconsistent with the reverse auction approach. It is our belief that reverse auctions undermine a mutually beneficial long-term relationship. We believe our customers benefit far greater from our methods and solutions in the long run than they do from reverse auction methodologies.
